August 2nd, 2008 at 08:30:06 this song goes beyond music, its a supernatural event where the idea of love needed to transcend language so it used u2 to make that sound
August 2nd, 2008 at 08:53:05 Speaking for someone that spent all of their teen years during the 80s and so glad I did even though I am in my early 40s now, U2 was one of the best bands during that decade.
August 2nd, 2008 at 09:16:04 I miss old U2. They used to be so good.
August 2nd, 2008 at 09:39:03 society girls shouldnt open there moulths about music cause they have no taste in music
August 2nd, 2008 at 10:02:02 I was a kid dating a 'society' girl in '83. She was a huge Def Leppard fan and an MTV junkie. I remember seeing this video and her and her friends remarked that it was trash and couldnt wait for this Irish band to fade into obscurity. I recall remarking, to their repute, that this band had talent and may be around a while. Shes probably still listening to Def Leppard.
August 2nd, 2008 at 10:25:01 I want Bono's jacket and the Edge's hat
August 2nd, 2008 at 10:48:00 well said!
August 2nd, 2008 at 11:10:59 I first heard this song properly on 'The best of 1980-1990' when I was 16. When I listened it just blew me away!! The opening piano grabs your attention immediately then the harmonisation of Adams killer bass line, Edges guitar playing (which climaxes with one of his best guitar solos) and the pure and powerful sound of bono's voice take you on a trip that enriches your soul. It's such a complete song, it never holds up it keeps going from beginning to the end. A timeless masterpiece!!!
August 2nd, 2008 at 11:33:58 The piano just gives it that extra depth too. So...this song just owns period.
August 2nd, 2008 at 11:56:57 Not a U2 fan myself dont get me wrong i dont dislike them but this song is a cracker.
August 2nd, 2008 at 12:19:56 U2 are my idols
August 2nd, 2008 at 12:42:55 A master piece no doubt it's the type of song that once you've heard it you'll never forget it.U2 is one of the greatest bands ever and their body of work still remain as one of the most rich and complete of any musical band. and they also happen to write music with a social and enviromental concience making them twice as much interesting.and people that don't agree whith their politics I think Fergie and Mariah are always looking for new listeners.
August 2nd, 2008 at 13:05:54 Damn. I was living in Europe when this song was popular. Talk about memories flooding back into my head when I see this video. Damn. Send me back in time.
August 2nd, 2008 at 13:28:53 pretty cold............not my holidays destiny.
